ASM Undergraduate Scholarships - $10,000 | Deadline May 1, 2012

ASM Undergraduate Scholarships. Since 1953, the ASM Materials Education Basis as well as top ASM Chapters countrywide have granted scholarship grants totaling over $1 million. Currently thirty seven scholarships are awarded annually with the ASM Materials Training Basis, that is supported by member contributions and other presents. Most of these awards include a Certificate associated with Recognition, travel as well as housing allowances for attendance at the awards wedding ceremony throughout the Society’utes yearly Honours Supper. The actual ASM Basis Scholarship or grant Awards and also the ASM Basis Specialized & College Scholarship Awards are offered via nearby ASM Chapters.

George A. Roberts Scholarships - Up to seven scholarships of $6,000 (each). Established in 1995 through a generous contribution by Dr. George A. Roberts, Past President of ASM and Retired CEO of Teledyne, as an expression of his commitment to education and the materials science and engineering community.

Lucille & Charles A. Wert Scholarship - One year full tuition of up to $10,000. Established in 2006 through a generous bequest by Dr. & Mrs. Charles Wert

William Park Woodside Founder's Scholarship - One year full tuition of up to $10,000. Established in 1996 by Mrs. Sue Woodside Shulec in honor of her grandfather, William Park Woodside, a man whose vision and leadership evolved into the founding of ASM International.

William & Mary Dyrkacz Scholarships – Four scholarships of $6,000 (each). Established in 2011 through a generous contribution by Mr. & Mrs. William Dyrkacz. as an expression of their commitment to education and the materials science and engineering community.

Ladish Co. Foundation Scholarships - Two scholarships of $2,500 (each) offered to the same individuals for two (2) consecutive years. (Student must be a Wisconsin resident and must attend a Wisconsin university to qualify.)

ASM Outstanding Scholars Awards - Three awards of $2,000 (each), to recognize distinguished scholars.

Edward J. Dulis Scholarship - One award of $1,500. Established in 2003 by the family of Edward J. Dulis, who was a Fellow of ASM International.

John M. Haniak Scholarship - One award of $1,500. Established in 2003 by the family of John Myron Haniak, who was a life long dedicated member of ASM International.

National Merit Scholarships
The ASM Materials Education Foundation currently sponsors $1,000 scholarships for students with an interest in materials science and engineering as National Merit Semi-Finalists in high school. One new student is sponsored each year.
